Towel Meditation

A towel meditation invites a peaceful moment to appreciate the sun. Laying in the sun and absorbing its rays, provides more benefits than a tan. The sun increases our serotonin and dopamine levels by sending us light, warmth, energy, and vitamin D.

It also sends ultraviolet rays which are stronger than our skin barrier can handle. Sunscreen protects the skin from ultraviolet damage such as age spots, sunburns, skin cancer, and wrinkles.

If you’re a real heat junkie, go put on some black clothes and then lay in the sun.

This can be treated like a sauna cycle: lay in the sun for 5-10 minutes, cool off in a pool, shower, or cooler environment, and then relax for however long.

stay hydrated, even if you’re not sweating, and know the signs of heatstroke

While lying in the sun and zoning out, the brain brings itself into theta and low key heals everything.
