Crystal Shops on Melrose

When my favorite aunt visits Los Angeles, we check out cool metaphysical shops around town.

On Melrose and La Cienega, the Crystalarium showcases a wide selection of rare finds, perfect for luxury homes and altars. The staff here are very knowledgeable on all things crystals such as their chemical components, healing properties, and even other crystal shops to extend our shopping adventure.

Going east down Melrose Ave, I stumbled upon Soli, an architectural material and garden design store. I chatted with Soli himself on his unique planter designs with crystals and he gave me basalt rock embedded with peridotite crystals.

Down Melrose Ave, where it’s more artsy and punk, the House of Intuition has a wide selection of smaller crystal tumbles. They also have candles, sage bundles, and tarot card decks. The staff here were more like chatty friends and I felt comfortable just being myself and talking about energy, it had nice vibes here.

Their info card system listed the energetic properties as well as the chakras they align with.

At Urth Cafe, I laid out my new crystals.

Crystalarium:
Black Jade (black square on the left and black triangle in the middle)
Amethyst (purple heart on the black jade and the pointy in the middle. My aunt gifted me the two other purple ones that might also be amethyst but I’ll have to research)
Green Calcite (green rectangle)
Smokey Quartz (black pointy next to green rectangle)

Soli:
Periodite (green crystals on basalt on the bottom left)

House of Intuition:
Cracked Fire Agate (red one on purple dish)
Smokey Quartz (white one on bottom right)
Magnetite (black sphere on bottom)
Hematite (little black tumble on the black pointy one. Hematite is magnetic to the Magnetite and I had fun spinning it around like a fidget)

I ordered the Purple Power smoothie and the butternut squash soup. I was very happy with my order and so were my mom and aunt. Good vibes here
